Government issued a resolution on June 1 approving measures to create a private digital university IT-Park University (ITPU). The university was founded by the Tashkent’s IT-Park and the international company EPAM with an authorized capital of $ 2 million (70% - EPAM Global Campus, USA).
“The university program is aimed at obtaining modern and in-demand professions in the IT field. Education will be conducted in a hybrid, mostly online format, which will allow students from all over the country to obtain a degree without having to move to the capital,” the press service of the IT Park said.
ITPU will train students in the program "Software Engineering" with a large selection of modern IT programs. It will have two faculties: EPAM School of Digital Engineering (specializations: Backend Development, Mobile Development, Frontend Development, QA in Software, Big Data) and IT Park School of Computer Science (specializations: Web Development, Software Testing, Networks and Virtual environments).
The duration of the undergraduate program will be three years, the main language of instruction is English. For admission, one will have to hold an IELTS certificate (minimum score - 4.5) or TOEFL (34), or pass an exam in one of the branches that are planned to open in all regions of the country.
