On June 2-4, the current chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will visit Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
He is scheduleed to hold talks in the Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and to hold a number of meetings on Uzbekistan's cooperation with the OSCE and bilateral Uzbek-Polish ties.
The OSCE press service added that Zbigniew Rau will meet with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov and the Chairpersons of the two chambers of the Parliament Tanzila Narbayeva and Nurdinjan Ismailov.
The trip will focus on strengthening the links with the OSCE and highlighting commitment to the Organization’s goals and activities, as well as expressing support for ongoing reforms in visited countries.
Zbigniew Rau also plans to visit Samarkand.
