Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev hosted the speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Uzbek Parliament Nurdinjon Ismoilov, the presidential press service said.
During the meeting, President Aliyev reportedly underscored the existence of good opportunities for increasing the two-way trade.
The President also noted the prospects for expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan in the transport sector and the full implementation of transport corridors.
“The head of state stressed the importance of considering the possibilities of joint investment in projects in other countries,” the press service said.
Touching upon cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, Aliyev stressed the importance of Uzbekistan's full membership in the organization.
In turn, Nurdinjon Ismoilov said that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was expecting Aliyev's visit to Tashkent.
