On April 28, at the plenary session, the senators considered the Security Activities Bill. According to the Senate, protecting the life and health of individuals, their property and objects from encroachment, maintaining public order on the territory of protected objects, preventing and suppressing offenses are the main goals of the bill.
The bill approves the list of entities engaged in security activities, establishes the inadmissibility of security activities by foreign entities states, as well as foreign private security entities, with the exception of cases of ensuring the safety of high-level guests who arrived on a short visit to Uzbekistan.
In addition, the bill provides for norms regarding the rights and obligations of military personnel, employees, workers of entities engaged in security activities, requirements for candidates for these positions, training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in the field, professional, physical and combat training of military personnel and employees.
