The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a government meeting on Wednesday raised the issue of disruption of the energy system of the country and the region, the consequences of which are still being eliminated. An excerpt from his remarks was given by his spokesman Sherzod Asadov.
Today we live in a globalized world where everything is interconnected with each other. The life of each person is becoming more and more connected with the life of all mankind, the president said.
“Various socio-economic processes taking place in distant and nearby regions, man-made disasters cannot but have an impact on us.”
“So, yesterday we all witnessed how a technical power outage instantly reverberated through the life of the entire region.”
“At the same moment, having learned about this accident, I immediately gave instructions to form a government commission. Being in constant contact with the commission, heads of industries and regions, I took personal control of the work to prevent the negative impact of the accident and its consequences on the economy and the life of the population.”
“The consequences of the accident are gradually being eliminated thanks to the joint coordinated work in this extreme situation of the energy, oil and gas, utilities, transport, mayor’s offices, healthcare, emergency situations and law enforcement agencies, the media.”
“At the same time, in this situation, our people also correctly accepted the situation and did not succumb to panic.”
“Taking this opportunity, I want to express my gratitude, first of all, to our patient people, as well as employees of all spheres and departments who showed selflessness in the elimination [of the consequences of the accident], the media and representatives of social networks.”
“We must draw the right conclusions from this situation and build the progress of Uzbekistan in even greater conjunction with the global problems of our time. In this regard, we must always be ready to prevent existing threats and problems.”
A peaceful and calm life does not fall from the sky. This life must be valued, cherished, this life must be protected, he concluded.
