Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed on more than 94% of the state border, currently about 6% remains undelianated, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibragim Zhunusov said on Wednesday.
According to him, the heads of the two states instructed the relevant ministries to increase the annual two-way trade up to US$ 1 million with a perspective prospect of reaching US$ 2 billion.
“Despite the pandemic in 2020, the trade between the two states grew by 10% compared to 2019, reaching a record US$ 903 million. In January-July this year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the trade turnover topped to US$ 508 million,” the ambassador said.
The total length of the state border of Uzbekistan with Kyrgyzstan is 1,378 km.
