The number of fully vaccinated people against coronavirus in Uzbekistan surpassed 2.5 million, the Ministry of Health said. This is at 11.87% of the total number of people over 18 to be vaccinated - 21.45 million people.
Yesterday, September 7, 338,971 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered across the country.
In total, 15.6 million doses of vaccine have been used in Uzbekistan today, including:
9.73 million people received the first dose;
4.44 million people received the second dose;
1.51 million people received the third dose.
Thus, the number of fully vaccinated persons was 2 million 547 thousand 450 people.
In Uzbekistan, mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 has been introduced for employees of shopping and service facilities, cultural and entertainment institutions and recreation areas, pub and restaurants. Until September 1, they were supposed to receive the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, before October 1 - the second dose, and before November 1 - the third dose (except in cases of health contraindications). Employers received the right to suspend from work for refusing to vaccinate.
