On August 25, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, the leaders discussed topical issues in the bilateral agenda, including the advancing of the political dialogue, expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, promotion of cultural and humanitarian exchange programs, as well as the continuation of fruitful interaction within the framework of international organizations.
The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in the region in the context of the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
“The President of Poland expressed his sincere gratitude for all possible assistance in the implementation of humanitarian operations to evacuate citizens Afghanistan to Poland in transit through the territory of our country,” the statement said.
An agreement was also reached to continue close cooperation in order to facilitate a peaceful settlement of the Afghan problem.
