Uzbekistan will host the World Youth Rights Conference on August 12-13, the press service of the National Center for Human Rights said. The initiative to hold the conference was put forward by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The Conference will be held in a hybrid format. It is expected that UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, UN Secretary General's Envoy for Youth Affairs Jayatma Vikramanayake, the Inter-Parliamentary Union Secretary General Martin Chungong, the OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmidt and other chiefs of international structures will make their remarks at the opening.

Over 500 representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the World Conference on Youth Rights “Engaging Youth in Global Action”.
