Recently, the Italian designer Stefano Ricci presented trainers with the coat of arms of Uzbekistan worth 18 million soums, or US$ 1.6 thousand.
However, the Ministry of Justice called the design of shoes of the Italian designer with the image of the coat of arms of Uzbekistan as disrespectful.
“The state symbols of Uzbekistan are sacred, and their insult in any form is punishable by law. According to the Article 5-1 of the State Emblem Law, the images of the State Emblem cannot be used for commercial purposes for the sale of goods (works, services), and cannot be sold. The products of Italian designer Stefano Ricci were created using the emblem and flag of Uzbekistan,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Justice stressed that this is disrespect for the state symbols of the country.
