A delegation led by the Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans and Policy in U.S. Central Command, Brigadier General Duke A. Pirak landed in Uzbekistan, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan said.
During the visit, Duke A. Pirak met with the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan/Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation in the field of security and military affairs between the two countries.
In the following days of the visit, the members of the delegation will get acquainted with the activities of the training center for junior specialists located in Samarkand, as well as visit the sights of the historical part of the city.
