On February 18, the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit, was hosted by the President Emomali Rahmon.
The Minister conveyed a message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed the ways to enhance the Uzbek-Tajik ties based on friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, as well as practical aspects of the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of high-level visits.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for interstate cooperation within the Central Asia. Opportunities for expanding the export of goods, establishing new transport corridors and developing regional markets were substantively discussed.
In addition, the parties discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings at various levels, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Earlier Abdulaziz Kamilov was hosted by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Yesterday, February 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, was also hosted by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
