On February 28, 2017 the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, Nurdinzhon Ismailov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan, Kwon Yong Woo.
During the meeting it was noted that “the parliamentarians of the two countries are making significant contribution to the development and deepening of interstate cooperation”. The Uzbek-Korean interparliamentary relations have been effectively developing, which is evidenced by the fact that in the last five years, over 20 meetings between parliamentarians of the two countries were organized.
In addition, it was emphasized inter-parliamentary cooperation groups within the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Korea are of particular importance in advancing and strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties.
