Uzbekistan welcomed 9.10 million foreign tourists in the first eight months of this year, the National Statistics Committee said.

The figure marks a 21.1 percent increase — roughly 1.6 million more visitors — compared with the same period in 2025.

Kyrgyzstan supplied the largest share of visitors, at 2.52 million, followed closely by Kazakhstan with 2.17 million and Tajikistan with 2.03 million.

Russia accounted for 867,800 visitors over the eight-month period, while 329,600 arrived from Afghanistan and 318,500 from China.

Turkmenistan contributed a further 224,800 tourists, followed by Turkey with 130,200, India with 39,500, and Germany with 32,200.
