President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Tuesday received the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, who arrived in our country on a working visit, a statement in Akhborot news program of Uzbekistan channel said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the high level of cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of counteraction against contemporary threats.
Special attention was paid to the fight against extremism and terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime.
Sergei Naryshkin praised the level of cooperation in tackling security issues of the two states. He also conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
