On February 22, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Viktor Guminskiy.
The meeting discussed the practical issues of preparation for the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in April in Tashkent, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry press service said.
The sides also exchanged views on further advancing of cooperation within the Commonwealth, the schedule of events of other sectoral bodies of the CIS to be held in Uzbekistan.
On the same day was held the meeting of the CIS Executive Committee delegation with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other Uzbek ministries and agencies, during which the issues of preparation of the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council were discussed.
