The Prosecutor General’s Office commented the footage on social networks in which a lady was showing her brother lying in a hospital with injuries. The man was said to be hospitalized after he was kept in the Andijan police department.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, on May 30, a resident of Andijan A. Abdukarimov was receiveв at the Andijan Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine with injuries.
The victim was reportedly taken to the hospital from the Police Department after he lost consciousness.
Despite the medical assistance provided, A. Abdukarimov died in a hospital on June 11, the Office said.
As part of the investigation, on June 1, the police officers arrested and are now facing Abuse of power or official authority), Illegal detention and Torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment punishment charges.
