President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation and will attend the Victory Parade in Moscow, the press secretary for the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said in a statement.

Journalists asked him who confirmed participation in the Victory Parade in Moscow. “There is a provisional list. We ... have confirmations from Kazakhstan, from Kyrgyzstan, from Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, there is also confirmed participation from Serbia, Croatia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia,” he added.

Note: The Victory Parade will be held in Moscow on June 24. Earlier it was reported that in the second half of June President Shavkat Mirziyoyev would visit Russia.

As Dmitry Peskov noted, Russia is also meanwhile expecting confirmations from the leaders of several countries.

Also according to Peskov, no invitation was sent to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, since invitations were offered mainly to the heads of state of the CIS countries, in which Ukraine had not shown interest in participating, while noting that Ukraine "had never signaled its desire to share the joy of the Victory Day."
