The South Korean Samdong ENT plans to set up a cluster for the processing of municipal solid waste in the Samarkand province, Dunyo reported.
The US$ 35 million cluster is organized at the Samdong Re Jomboy enterprise in the Jambai district. This project is included in the investment program of Uzbekistan for 2020–2022.
The project’s goal is the efficient collection and processing of municipal solid waste. For this, the South Korean company plans to purchase special waste collection vehicles.
The company officials plan to visit Uzbekistan in the near future as the international flights will resume.
