Khurshid Mirzakhidov became the new Uzbekistan Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. He left for Bishkek on May 30, the Foreign Ministry said.

Khurshid Mirzakhidov, 49, graduated from Tashkent Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (1995) and the Higher School of Business at the Presidential Academy of State and Social Construction (2004).

In 2009-2010, he worked as first deputy chairman of the National Television and Radio Company, then as first deputy general director of the Agency of Communications and Information (ACI). In 2012, he headed UzACI, which was later transformed into the State Committee for Communications, Informatization and Telecommunication Technologies, and then - into the Ministry for the Development of IT and Communications.

In February-August 2017, he worked as chairman of the National Television and Radio Company. In October 2017, his was appointed as deputy chairman of the State Committee for Roads.
