President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone on Thursday. At the beginning of the conversation, the two leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming holiday - the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism, wished health and well-being to the veterans, friendly peoples of the two countries, the presidential press service said.
The counterparts pointed to the need to carefully prepare the upcoming visit of the Uzbek leader to Russia and the related events and discussed the fight against the coronavirus infection in the two countries.
The leaders also exchanged views on the international and regional issues.
