Starting May 8, following the assessment of the sanitary-epidemiological situation, in Tashkent and in the provinces the lockdown measures shall apply based on the levels assigned to them - Red, Yellow or Green. The decision was made by the Special Anti-Coronavirus Commission on Wednesday.

Red-Level Lockdown

(provinces where new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the last 14 days)

Karakalpakstan;

Andijan province;

Namangan province;

Ferghana province;

Samarkand province;

Tashkent province;

Bukhara province;

Syrdarya province.

In the Red provinces, the existing lockdown restrictions shall be kept, and may be revised depending on the evelvement of the situation.

The following activities shall be allowed in these provinces:

• food stores, wholesale non-food stores, building materials markets, cutting and sewing workshops, bank offices (cash desks), dry cleaners, notaries, legal and insurance firms, shoe repair shops, livestock and leather processing workshops, fast food retailers (for delivery and takeaway only), medical facilities;
• collection, delivery and sale of agricultural products, cultivation and sale of seeds and seedlings, sale of spare parts for cars, handicrafts and sale of products of artisans in stores;
• construction, reconstruction and repair work at facilities, construction and repair, delivery services;
• walking in neighborhoods keeping social distance.

Yellow-Level Lockdown

(provinces where no new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 14 days, but where there are patients with coronavirus)

Surkhandarya province;

Khorezm province;

Tashkent city.

In the Yellow-level provinces, some lockdown restrictions remain.

In addition to the activities permitted in the Red-level lockdown, the following shall be allowed:

• non-food retail stores, jewelry and flower stores, hairdressers and beauty salons (subject to special restrictions), as well as hotels (except for hostels and guest houses);
• car washes and maintenance services for cars, agricultural and construction machineries;
• craft workshops, household appliances and electronic devices repair shops;
• taxis (subject to special restrictions), movement on bicycles and scooters.

Green-Level Lockdown

(provinces where there are no persons infected with coronavirus, or where they have fully recovered)

Navoi province;

Jizzakh province;

Kashkadarya province.

In the Green provinces, in addition to the above activities, the following is permitted:

• parks (except for attractions and entertainment facilities),
• vehicles and motorcycles circulation without permits;
• reception of citizens in state organizations.

The vehicles circulation without permits in the Yellow and Red-level provinces is allowed from 7:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 only.
