The Yunusobod extension line and the phase I of the elevated ring line will be commissioned in March this year, while the Sergeli metro line - in September. This follows from the Investment Program for 2020–2022, approved on January 9 by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The US$ 103.8 million Yunusobod branch extension project includes two Turkestan and Yunusabad stations and is 2.9 km long. Initially, the project was scheduled to be completed before the end of 2019.

The construction of the 52.1 km elevated ring line with a length is estimated at US$ 466.1 million. The project is implemented in five phases. The 11.4 km phase I is from the Dustlik metro station to the Kuylyuk market. In total, there will be 8 stations on this section. In the summer of 2018, the president instructed to commission the first phase ahead to Navruz.

The US$ 82.7 million Sergeli Line is 7.1 km long. The new 6 station-line will connect the Sergeli district with the center and other areas of Tashkent. The branch will be connected to the Chilanzar line at the Olmazor station.
