The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Samarkand on a working visit. At the international airport of Samarkand, he was welcomed by the governor of the Samarkand province, Erkinjon Turdimov.
After arriving, Rustam Minnikhanov went to meet with the Tatar minority organizations of Uzbekistan.
Tomorrow, Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the phase II of KamAZ truck production unit in Samarkand.
In the afternoon, Rustam Minnikhanov and his delegation will leave for Tashkent, where they will visit the Tashkent Agricultural Equipment Plant and the correspondent office of the New Century TV and Radio Company (TNV), opened in 2017.
In addition, Rustam Minnikhanov will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev, the two will chair the Uzbekistan-Tatarstan business forum.
Also, the Tatar President wil be hosted by the President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister, Abdulla Aripov, with a number of cooperation agreements between the enterprises of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan expected to be signed.
