Uzbekistan and China have set up a joint venture to implement the Safe City project. "On the eve of Tashkent signed a Memorandum of Association of an Uzbek-Chinese joint venture as part of the Safe City complex project, which was signed between the “Safe City” Center for Assistance for Public Order under the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan and the Chinese companies CITIC Group and COSTAR Group ", the Ministry of Finance said.

The Uzbek-Chinese joint venture will be in charge of build and maintain the Safe City complex project in Tashkent worth US$ 300 million of direct Chinese investment, using Huawei technologies and innovative solutions.
