Five people from one family were found murdered in the middle and back seats of a Damas minivan in the Samarkand province, the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan said.

The bodies of a farm worker A. Kh., 50, his spouse Z. H., 45, their sons Zh. I., 21, A. I., 17, and O. I., 15, with severe injuries on the heads and faces of all of them, that is, with signs of murder were found on Wednesday at about 1 AM on the territory of Dustlik village in Kushrabat district.

The Deputy Prosecutor General, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Head of Department for Investigation of Particularly Serious Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, the Provincial Prosecutor, the Head of the Provincial Department of Internal Affairs and members of the operational investigation team immediately left for the crime scene.

On the same day, the Ishtikhan district prosecutor's office launched a criminal case under Premeditated Murder article of the Criminal Code.

Currently, the necessary operational-search and investigation of this particularly grave crime is being carried out around the clock.

The investigation is reportedly under the special control of the Prosecutor General.
