The government officials will have “exclusive access” for the government corporate messenger, UzChat. The app was developed by NAPU and is “the first national messenger app,” the program says.
It supports all the functions of modern messengers, including voice and video calls, and allows you to hold group video conferencing. The maximum number of users in the conference can reach 256 people. This will allow you to conduct video meetings and conferences online.
The data to be transmitted - voice and video - is protected cryptographically and is provided with complete confidentiality both in Uzbekistan and abroad. The program can also be installed on the computer.
An Uzbekistan server shall be used, with information is stored on the server in an encrypted form and is not available even to the administrator.
The use of UzChat is expected to increase the speed of information exchange between civil servants.
As of April 1, 2019, government mobile services shall become mandatory for employees of government agencies and diplomatic missions. Its first users will be employees of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs.
