Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov met his Tajik counterpart Kohir Rasulzoda, in Ferghana, discussed the bilateral relations and the preparations for the upcoming Uzbekistan – Tajikistan summit.

The counterparts underscored that the economies of the two countries complement each other and have a advantage due to proximity and low transport costs.

With a view to ste up cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, the parties agreed to hold a regular meeting of the Business Council and facilitate doing business on the territory of both countries.

Prime Ministers expressed confidence that the upcoming Uzbekistan – Tajikistan summit will elevate the bilateral ties to a new high and will open new horizons for further advancing the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
