Uzbekistan will host the 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which will take place from 3 to 6 May 2026 in Samarkand. This was announced at the 58th meeting in Milan.
This is the second time that Uzbekistan is hosting the bank's event: the 43rd ADB meeting was previously held in Tashkent in 2010.
"I am confident that the 2026 Annual Meeting will provide us with an inspiring platform for dialogue and strengthening partnerships, providing an opportunity to highlight the many unique facets of the region," said ADB President Masato Kanda.
The annual meeting brings together governors from 69 member countries of the bank, finance ministers, central bankers, representatives of international organizations, the private sector, NGOs and the media to consider development issues and challenges facing the Asia-Pacific region.
