On December 5, the President-elect of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russia’s Prime Minister, Dmitriy Medvedev on the initiative of the Russian side.
The Russian Prime Minister expressed his sincere congratulations to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the landslide victory in the Uzbekistan Presidential elections.
The parties discussed the progress of realization of the reached agreements on the issues of advancing the mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Dmitriy Medvedev appreciated the results of the working visits of delegations of Uzbekistan and Russia at various levels, reaching of important agreements on the priority areas.
The parties agreed to intensify bilateral relations in all issues of mutual interest and to further strengthen the partnership.
