On December 5 the President-elect of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the CIS Executive Committee Chairman, Sergei Lebedev.
During the meeting, the Uzbek President expressed his sincere appreciation for tremendous work of the observer mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States and for high assessment of the electoral process and the results of Uzbekistan Presidential elections.
Sergei Lebedev expressed his deep gratitude to Uzbekistan for invitation to take part in the election monitoring process and for the created favorable facilities for the members of the CIS observer mission.
The parties exchanged views on the further advancing and strengthening of cooperation within the Commonwealth.
