The first ever Government Hour (equiv. of Question Time) in the history of the Uzbek parliament was held in the Legislative Chamber Tuesday. It addressed the issues of providing the public with clean drinking water and its rational use, as well as providing affordable and quality medicines to the population and medical institutions.

According to the press service of the lower house, the agenda was based on the findings of the reviewing the socio-economic development level of the territories, sectors of the economy and social sphere, as well as letters from citizens.

The ministers of housing and public health took questions from deputies. Following the session, the parliamentary committees gave recommendations to develop proposals for improving legislation and law enforcement practice. In addition, parliamentary control over the work of these areas will be strengthened.
