Maruf Usmonov has been appointed as the mayor of Kokand city in the Ferghana province, the mayor's office said. Earlier, from March 2017 Maruf Usmonov had served as chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Prior to that, he worked as a deputy state adviser to the President responsible for coordination of work with appeals from individuals and legal entities, and before that (in 2004-2006) Kokand city mayo.
The previous mayor of Kokand from April 2017 was Rahmatali Jalilov.
