President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan this autumn, the Uzbek President's press service said.
The details of Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit were reportedly discussed during the meeting of Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday in Tashkent.
On March 19, the two leaders spoke over the phone, it is then that Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated his Russian counterpart on convincing victory in the presidential elections on March 18 and invited him to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan, which the President of Russia has accepted.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the ways to further expand the bilateral partnership, and discussed a number of topical regional and international issues.
