Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Minister of State for External Affairs of India Mobashar Jawed Akbar on Wednesday, who attended conference on Afghanistan in Tashkent, the Ministry reported.
Miniter Javed Akbar reportedly congratulated the government of Uzbekistan on behalf of the Indian delegation on the outcomes of the Tashkent conference which was significant for the Afghan peace process and the vast region.
The counterparts focused on practical aspects of preparations for the official visit to India of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev scheduled for autumn and the agenda for the upcoming high-level talks, and also discussed other issues of Uzbek-Indian cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.
