The next joint meeting of the Uzbek-Tajik intergovernmental commission on the delienation of the state border took place on February 24 in Fergana under the co-chair of the Uzbek PM Abdulla Aripov and Tajikistan PM Kokhir Rasulzoda,the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.
The counterparts reportedly discussed the the draft delineation of the Uzbek-Tajik state border in certain areas, and noted that in a short period significant progress was made in the process of delienation of the state border.
The sides also focused on the preparations and coordination of bilateral accords, agreements and contracts to be signed at the scheduled state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan in March.
