Uzbek Supreme Court delegation led by the chairman Kozimdjon Kamilov will make a familiarization visit to France on February 19-28, Jahon reported.
The visit is part of the joint project of the Supreme Court and UNDP - Partnership In The Field of the Rule of Law In Uzbekistan and is aimed at studying French experience in the development of the judicial and legal system and implementing of effective mechanisms for protection of human rights and freedoms.
The program of the visit includes meetings and talks in the Council of State, the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Cassation, the Superior Council of the Magistracy of France, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Commercial and Administrative Court of Appeal of Paris, and the National School of Magistracy in Bordeaux and other institutions.
A round table is also scheduled as part of the visit, during which participants from the French side will be able to familiarize themselves with the main areas of judicial and legal reform within the framework of the Uzbekistan’s Five-Area Development Strategy for 2017-2021.
