President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Serbia on September 7-8 at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The visit's program includes high-level talks in Belgrade, along with a business forum bringing together government officials and business leaders from both countries.
The agenda for the talks centers on further strengthening the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
Particular attention will be paid to expanding trade, economic and investment ties, as well as advancing joint projects in priority sectors including transport, mechanical engineering, light industry, food processing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
The two sides are also expected to discuss cooperation on organized labor migration and ways to deepen interregional and cultural-humanitarian ties.
The visit is expected to conclude with the signing of a substantial package of intergovernmental and interagency agreements.
