As part of his visit to Türkiye to attend the Turkic Summit, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday met the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, the presidential press service said. Mirziyoyev congratulated the Turkish people on Republic Day, the national holiday, and wished them peace, sustainable development and prosperity.
During their talks, the two leaders discussed strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders stressed the importance of establishing a High-Level Business Support Council, thoroughly preparing for the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission, expanding the portfolio of promising projects and continuing practical cooperation in new areas.
The presidents also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
