Daytime temperatures across Uzbekistan will hold steady through the end of the work week, ranging from 28-33 degrees Celsius (82 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit), climbing as high as 35 C (95 F) in the south and staying cooler in the north at 25-27 C (77-81 F), according to Uzhydromet, the country's meteorological service.
Overnight and early-morning temperatures will generally range from 13-18 C (55 to 64 F).
Most regions can expect variable cloud cover with no precipitation during this period.
However, brief spells of light rain and thunderstorms are possible in parts of Bukhara, Navoi and Samarkand regions on Wednesday afternoon, in the Fergana Valley provinces on September 3-4, and in isolated parts of Tashkent region on September 4.
Winds are expected to pick up in some areas, reaching 13-18 meters per second (29-40 mph) with blowing dust, while gusts in desert areas could reach 20-22 m/s (45-49 mph) on September 2.
In Tashkent, skies will be partly cloudy with no rain expected, though brief light rain and thunderstorms are possible on the morning of September 4.
Nighttime temperatures in the capital will range from 15-17 C (59 to 63 F), with daytime highs of 28-30 C (82-86 F). Winds will blow from the east at 5-10 m/s (11-22 mph).
