The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a brief meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin during a working visit to Bishkek, the Uzbek president's press service reported.
The two leaders welcomed the rapid growth in trade and economic cooperation between their countries, noting that bilateral trade turnover has risen 12 percent since the start of the year.
They agreed on the importance of sustaining this positive momentum in trade, accelerating joint industrial cooperation projects, and continuing to build active ties between their countries' regions.
Particular attention was also given to expanding the two nations' already robust cultural and humanitarian exchanges going forward.
The leaders further discussed plans for upcoming engagements in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
