A new Bektemir City business district will be erected in Tashkent on 58 hectares under the August 18 order signed by the Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov.

The project stems from the February 28, 2026 Cabinet of Ministers resolution, aimed at making more efficient use of land in Bektemir district, creating higher-paying jobs for residents, and attracting investment.

According to the order, the project carries a price tag of $1.2 billion and will be built across 58 hectares spanning the Zabardast, Bektemir, and Abay neighborhoods.

The Bektemir City concept was first unveiled in May 2025, when a set of planned renovation and investment projects for Tashkent was presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The project includes a modern multi-unit residential complex, service facilities, and public entertainment venues.

The Tashkent city administration has designated Olmazor Business City - the directorate responsible for building and operating the new business center - as the project's official client.
