The Ministry of Transport has launched an electronic permit (E-permit) system for international road freight transport in collaboration with Georgia.

According to the ministry, paper permit forms for "bilateral," "transit," and "to/from a third country" categories covering routes with Georgia have been phased out. Going forward, national carriers will receive these permits exclusively in electronic form, based on their applications.

"The deployment of this system will speed up the permit application process, reduce reliance on paper forms, minimize human error, and create a more convenient and transparent mechanism for national carriers engaged in international freight transport," the Ministry of Transport said in a statement.
