Pursuant to the program adopted following that trip, 160 billion soum worth of 242 projects were realized, with about 4,000 jobs created.
For example, Phase One of the 1.2 Mt, $40 million Karakalpak Cement plant has been commissioned in Karauzyak district, the company Technic Global in Nukus now manufactures 150,000 TV sets under the Samsung brand, 8,000 tons of polyethylene pipes and household goods are manufactured at the Nukus Polymer plant. Vegatex Global in Turtkul district annually produces 5,000 tons of yarn.
In addition, in accordance with the Investment Program, the existing water supply networks have been reconstructed through budgetary funds and funds of the Aral Sea Development Fund. As a result, more than 50 thousand residents in 35 settlements are now provided with drinking water.
The second building of the Savitsky State Museum of Art has been built and commissioned. New buildings of the Karakalpak State Museum of Local Lore, a school for gifted children named after Hero of Uzbekistan Ibruim Yusupov, a park named after Amir Temur, a large sports complex with modern facilities have been built. The Imam Eshon Muhammad mosque for 1,500 people was reconstructed.
During the current trip, it is planned to analyze the work completed, set new priorities and tasks for the development of the region for the next two years.
