The implementation of a presidential decree authorizing life-changing surgeries for 10,000 children in honor of Eid al-Adha (Qurbon Hayiti) is now underway. According to the Ministry of Health, patients who received treatment vouchers are gradually being admitted to specialized medical facilities across the country to undergo their procedures and begin their recovery.

Beyond the 10,000 children, the presidential mandate also guarantees funded surgical interventions for nearly 2,300 patients diagnosed with onco-hematological conditions, alongside kidney and liver transplants for an additional 350 individuals.

The extensive medical screenings, surgical procedures, and post-operative care costs are backed by state target funds and alternative revenue streams, disbursed through the "Vaqf" Charitable Public Fund.

"The fact that the benevolent initiatives driven by this single document will restore 10,000 children to a healthy, vibrant life is an extraordinary milestone. Remarkably, eligibility for these critical procedures is not restricted to children from low-income or marginalized households. Patients will receive top-tier medical care regardless of their family's socioeconomic status," the Ministry of Health stated in its announcement.

The ministry noted that free surgical vouchers are being systematically distributed on-site to families battling severe illnesses, allowing patients to seamlessly transition into hospital wards.

This humanitarian initiative has brought profound joy to many households, including that of Temur Hakimov, who has been enduring the agonizing realities of kidney failure for the past 20 years.
