Uzbekistan Airports has put six parking lots at Tashkent International Airport up for auction. According to the company’s press service, these sites will be leased for a three-year term under an agreement that requires the operator to not only manage the facilities but also fully modernize their infrastructure.
The auction covers six parking areas, including those at the domestic terminal (P1, P3, P4, P5, P7, and P8), spanning over 40,000 square meters with a total capacity of approximately 1,500 vehicles.
"The project is focused on enhancing passenger convenience. Plans include digital navigation, real-time displays of available spaces, expanded payment options, and charging stations for electric vehicles," the statement noted. "The future operator will be responsible for 24/7 operations, maintenance, and security, as well as investing in the reconstruction, expansion, and landscaping of the parking zones."
The company emphasized that full digitalization is a core requirement. This includes implementing an automated management system, license plate recognition, and modern barriers. The operator must also offer diverse payment methods—including online options—and launch a mobile service that allows travelers to book parking spots in advance.
The lease structure consists of a fixed annual fee (determined through the auction) plus a variable component of 5% of gross revenue. To ensure financial transparency, the operator will be required to provide detailed reporting and grant the airport access to its accounting systems.
The starting bid for the lot is set at 48.778 billion soums per year. The auction is scheduled for May 19.
This initiative follows a broader modernization effort by Uzbekistan Airports, which completed the renovation of the international departure hall and its surrounding grounds in the summer of 2024, followed by the arrival hall in the fall of the previous year.
