The Tashkent province police department (TPPD) has officially denied allegations of misconduct involving a patrol officer and a minor reported earlier.

The denial follows a viral video recorded by 18-year-old Artyom, who identified himself as the brother of a 14-year-old girl. In the video, he claimed that a patrol officer had driven the girl and her friends to a mountainous area in Akhangaran late at night and harassed them. The girl herself had also come forward to support these claims.

According to the bureau, the incident took place on April 27 around 12:40 AM. A patrol officer from the Akhangaran city police department received a call from an acquaintance, 22-year-old A.K., who requested a consultation and invited him to her home.

"Upon the officer's arrival, the 22-year-old woman and her 14-year-old friend came out and got into the officer's vehicle. At that moment, 18-year-old A.H. (the individual who recorded the video) arrived with four associates, began insulting the officer, and incited a confrontation. It has also been established that he is not a relative of the 14-year-old girl," the regional GUVD noted.

Due to the involvement of a minor, the department has declined to release further specific details. However, the TPPD emphasized that individuals found responsible for spreading false information could face administrative or criminal charges.
