The Public Safety Department of the Interior Ministry has launched a probe following social media reports of alleged misconduct by a patrol officer involving a minor.

According to details shared by the victim’s relatives, the incident took place on the night of April 28 in Angren. The 14-year-old girl stated that she was hanging out with friends in a courtyard earlier that evening when a GM Spark vehicle approached them.

"All individuals involved and the circumstances of the incident have been identified. The officer named in the reports has been suspended from duty. If the allegations are substantiated, his actions will face a strict legal assessment, including potential criminal prosecution," the statement read.

The Ministry emphasized that any unlawful acts by law enforcement officers—particularly those involving minors—are "unacceptable and will be met with the severest possible disciplinary and legal measures."

The Ministry has committed to providing further updates once the investigation is complete and urges the public to rely solely on official information.
