The Tashkent Police Department (TPD) reported that "filtration measures", the so-called Cleansing-Antiterror operation was conducted on November 25, which resulted in taking to the district police department of 363 persons in Chilanzar’s Beshkurgon mahalla (neibourhood), mainly the "visitors from Uzbekistan's various provinces who were currently jobless, without temporary registration and house rent agreement".

On the same day, TPD officers inspected the cafes - Jaguar, Shabnam and Don in Chilanzar district, following which, 45 people were taken to police department for identity check, administrative protocols have been drawn up against 16 women engaged in prostitution, who were later taken to the TPD’s Rehabilitation Center.

Also, Sardor Tolipov, Najot Aghzamov, Sardor Juraev and Bekzod Utkurov, suspected of robbery in Mirzo-Ulugbek district  were arrested, and now are in custody, with a preliminary investigation being conducted, and their involvement in other crimes is being verified.

TPD also reported of the arrest on the same day of Saybzhon Abdurakhmonov, a Kyrgyz national, near Sayokhat Hotel in Mirzo-Ulugbek district, who is on wanted list on suspicion of committing a murder in Kyrgyzstan.

Abdurakhmonov was placed in the Investigative Isolator of the Interior Ministry, measures are being taken to transfer him to Kyrgyzstan.

Cleansing-Antiterror was reportedly conducted from November 20 to 25 ahead of the , Constitution Day, December 8, the New Year's holiday and elections to the Council of people's deputies, and is aimed at ensuring safety in Tashkent streets. Similar operation was held ahead of the Independence Day (September 1, 2017),

Cleansing Anti-terror involves multi-storey houses, businesses and organizations, hotels, cafés and restaurants, trade and service facilities, unfinished construction sites, garages, and so on.
