President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev over the phone yesterday, UzA reported.
The counterparts reportedly exchanged views on key issues of Uzbek-Kazakh ties, including the prospects for expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication and other fields.
The two leaders noted that significant results were achieved this year which marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with bilateral ties significantly strengthened and elevated to a new level.
The mutually beneficial and fruitful Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation is rapidly advancing, the dialogue at all levels, including between the border provinces and the businesses has activated. Year-to-date, the volume of two-way trade has grown significantly, with joint trading houses and modern production facilities established.
The Presidents stressed the importance of further active cooperation with the goal of timely implementation of the planned joint programs and projects of cooperation, especially in the economic sphere.
